When it comes to planning your promotional merchandise needs for an upcoming event or trade show we recommend the following.

1. Identify your objectives and audiences at the Trade Show.
Be specific about what you want from the show and promote. Is it to increase visibility, gain exposure to a lot of people who may be interested or anything else? With solid goals you can determine the value of the event.

2. Develop a simple key message for your Counter / Booth
A clear simple theme or message will be remembered. A detailed theme or message will not be! Its important to convey a single strong message to draw in prospects.

3. Design an open, inviting booth.
Things that obstruct such as tables are uninviting. A layout in a way that maximises walking around as well as having a logo that can be seen from a good distance is a great start. Use of interesting graphics are also great as well as a smart use of promotional items to:

- Create interest and conversations
- Retain Attention

Slim USB Flash Drives are not as common for conferences and events for handouts, but they are rather unique and in my opinion should be used more often as corporate gifts and promotional merchandise.

In most instances these styles are metal USBs, they are a lot more durable, they use a smaller advance USB chip compared to other normal standard USB Flash Drives hence they do attract a premium. However the looks and presentation makes worth the additional investment.

Do you know that the print on a metal or plastic promotional item does scratch off over time? Because normal printing can only print the contents onto the fine surface. Although the ink stays on the surface very well for the first few months, it will come off over time. While laser engraving is a printing method that allow the content etch to the surface. The disadvantage of laser engraving is that only 1 colour is available, and it will be the colour of the base of the metal. The engraved content can stay on the USB Flash drive for a very long period. So when you order some metal thumb drives, we would highly recommend you choose the laser engraving method, not only because of its better print quality, but also it create a much superior professional look than pad printing.
