I came across an article this week in the news where there was a computer security conference hosted by IBM. As part of the event all participants of the conference all received a pack including a promotional USBs uploaded with its information. Instead the branded flash drives contained a Malware computer virus! As you can imagine, its been on the news (cause I read it) and this is pretty bad & embrassing news.

What could have prevented such a suituation?

From my experience & knowledge of memory sticks it seems a purchasing manager decided to opt for the very very cheapest promotional USB stick they can find ….
